This unit will enable student-teachers to teach ‘Geometry’ at Elementary, Junior Primary and Senior Primary levels. As well as learning the relevant subject knowledge, student-teachers will learn how to plan, teach and assess the content in an interactive and stimulating environment at each level. Wherever possible, learning should be practical and take place outside the classroom. Mathematical problem-solving skills will be an important feature in this unit. Where appropriate, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) will be used to support the teaching and learning in this unit.

In our endeavor to pursuing basic knowledge in Geometry, teacher trainees will be dealing with simpler properties of points in space, straight lines, 2D shapes, 3D shapes and other complex shapes and their application appropriate for the junior primary student.
